Widespread rain in northern England and central and eastern Scotland on
Tuesday night becomes largely confined to eastern Scotland by Wednesday
morning and decreases in intensity. Rain continues in central northern
Scotland into the afternoon - finally clearing to the north in the evening.
Some showers continue in northern England through the afternoon.
