This afternoon's thunderstorm (from approx 1700 - 1800) actually passed
overhead Buckingham with a baby roll cloud. We probably had more rain in
that time than in the whole of June and July combined and perhaps enough
to start the lawn growing again. For a time conditions were so bad that
the visibility was down to about 600 m - immense number of medium size
raindrops rather than thundery drops - that we had the famous "hazardous
driving conditions"! The change from 30 C to 18 C is most welcome.
