Default (WR) - Tilehurst

Was out all day yesterday, hence late report.

Appear to have got off lightly during this weeks storms.here in Tilehurst.

Tuesday afternoon - a thunderstorm from 1340 - 1445, accompanied by squally
winds.
There was light to moderate rain at times from 1405 - 1525.

Total rainfall 3.2mm.

Further north, over Bucks and Oxon storms more intense and with heavier
rain.

Thursday afternoon - further thunderstorms and rain (exact timings not known
as I was out all day).
Travelled back through Guildford, Bracknell, Earley, Winnersh and Central
Reading during the early evening,
It was quite obvious that there had been some very heavy rain (+ hail) in
these areas.
Evidence of flooding was still to be seen and reports on this newsgroup and
in the local paper also back this up.

Read rainfall at 2100 and only 3.8mm recorded in Tilehurst.
