Just had a look at the latest 5 day forecast for Exeter on the UK Met Office web
site http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/...ncornwall.html

and it says Sunday - showers
Monday - Sunny intervals
Tuesday - Sunny

No sign of any wet weather there.
In fact only mention of rain was for Sunday day and night.

Well there you are, the very latest official web site forecast.

Is this the same computer generated forecast you get on Ceefax p.404?

That too has changed markedly in the last day. No longer rain for
most places early next week but sun/sunny intervals.

But there is a weather watch for a deep depression to spread rain into
central areas early next week on p.405.......

What on earth were you thinking of?

The weather-forecast following the news just now gave the thumbs up to
the storm -and your man even showed thaumaturgical grimoires of the
Lizard under attack!

Yes, it looks like a fab weekend but that's only to catch a bunch of
johnnie foreigners out at a game of cricket or whatever the hell they
are playing at this week.

So for Exeter on Sunday daytime, full marks to the official Met Office 5 cities
forecast on the web. More or less spot on with light rain over Exeter.

Hmmmm...

the current 5 day forecast (9/8/04) for Oxford on the BBC web site:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?id=2935

says dry, with sunny periods for today (Monday).

It has rained, more or less all morning, sometimes heavily, and is raining
again now (16.00Z).

The UKMO, however, has rain, cloud, thunder and sunny periods. No thunder and
no sun (so far).

They both agree that tomorrow (Tuesday) will be cloudless sunshine:-)

Cheers,

keith
