Default [WR] Bracknell: 1310Z .. still not bad

1310Z (2.10pm local)
Temperature just nudging 30 (29.8degC), with dewpoint 16.5degC. 6 oktas
Ci, with 3 oktas Ac, thin & broken, with 1 okta (when collected
together) of high-base shallow Cu. Wind very 'blustery', mainly Bft 5,
ocnl 6.

A lovely afternoon (so far) ... but noted that rain not too far away to
the west - though atm, it appears to be somewhat fragmented, and to my
SW, an 'edge' of what appears to be lower, thicker Ac invading sky.

Martin.

..... now (1325Z/2.25pm) just more than half cover of the Ac, with
sunshine 'switched off': the wind has just eased as well. Not
particularly threatening though atm. With the high dew point, it is now
going to feel pretty 'close' if the wind drops away.

Martin.

Default [WR] Bracknell: 1800Z

Trace of rain (notional) 09-18Z today ... few spots only mid-afternoon.
Day max 29.9degC, with the anomaly for August so far (relative to
whole-month mean) above +5degC. (That equals our highest for the year so
far).

Dew point at 18Z up to 18.1degC, I see further west Lyneham up to 19C.
Sticky fuel for some hefty downpours no doubt.

Martin.
