Just read the 0900-0900 and it was 80 mm. The bottle was full and there is
some water at the bottom of the bucket so probably 3-5 mm more. Now the thunder has started again! The patio is under 1 foot of water and I am getting a little worried about the otherwise babbling Camserney Burn which is now a raging torrent full to the brim, brown and full of tree stumps and the like, and about 20 feet from the house. The noise is tremendous. The road into Aberfeldy is flooded across in 5 places and the Tay is seething and groaning full. I am at the limit of intensly interested and very concerned.I have some pics on the website under pictures. If you imagine that yesterday at 0900 you could have jumped across the burn... brian aberfeldy www.aberfeldyweather.com |

Do you not have baby baths in Aberfeldy, or does everyone bathe the baby in the rain on the patio table? (: JPG brian aberfeldy www.aberfeldyweather.com |

The rain has stopped and the river has gone down well leaving a wavy trail
of small twigs and logs all the way down the bank marking the high point. I reckon we were about another half inch of rain away from flooding at the bend and with the rate it was travelling it would have swamped us! Thunder has been rumbling away all day and still is. I will be intesested to get the SEPA readings from my tipping rain bucket at the end of the month. brian aberfeldy |
