Just had a newspaper on the telephone to say that the Press Association
wires are reporting a temperature of 35.4C at the London Weather Centre. I have checked all my obs and sources, and they are nearer 33C then 35.4C. I saw Heathrow managed 34C. Can anyone elaborate on this. I would like to know where they got that figure from. Incidentally, temperature in Wombourne at 1450 GMT is 29.0C. wunderground is showing 35 for the weather centre and the City and 36 for Cambridge. I don't know what their primary sources are. Being totally subjective, it feels *much* hotter today than yesterday in South Cambridgeshire. And cam.misc is having a lovely time discussing the temperatures registering on various thermometers :-) regards sarah -- Think of it as evolution in action. |
