Frontal cloud over Scotland and northern England extends across the North
Sea and covers Belgium and the SW half of the Netherlands. Heavy showers
and thunderstorms across Wales and central England and more moving into
southern England from France.

On Wednesday night rain is still falling in the northern half of Scotland.
An area of rain over southern England and the Midlands moves north to reach
northern England by Thursday morning. Heavy rain in Wales in the early
hours. Rain area moves into Scotland by mid-morning but is rather less
intense than earlier and breaks up over central Scotland by evening. Heavy
showers and thunderstorms move into SW England mid-morning and develop
widely in England and Wales by early afternoon. Thunderstorms especially
in the west Midlands in the early afternoon and central northern England in
the early evening.
