Brussels on Friday 13 August

Sunny intervals late morning and afternoon after a cloudy start. Shower
with several rumbles of thunder and a single flash of lightning at 14.00
local time. Very heavy shower at 15.15 - again with thunder.

Just before 16.30 a torrential downpour started very abruptly - of course I
just had to be caught out in this and got totally drenched sprinting for the
nearest shelter ! Once more thunder rumbled in the distance as the shower
moved away after about 10 minutes. Sunny intervals followed but it clouded
over during the evening. Moderate WSW wind - gusty near the showers.

Brussels Uccle 21.3°C - overnight minimum 14.6°C - and 9 mm rain.
Brussels Airport 21.6°C - overnight minimum 15.1°C - and 11 mm.
