Some rain in extreme SE England in the early hours of Monday on the edge of
an area of heavy rain and thunderstorms in the Channel, northern France and
the Belgian coastal strip. Second area of rain from SW Scotland through NW
England to the west Midlands at first clears from the south and moves north
across Scotland on Monday morning. Outbreaks of rain and showers reach SW
England by mid-morning and move into central southern England. Band of
intense rainfall develops in north Cornwall late in the afternoon. Showers
and some thunder in central southern and eastern England and northern
Scotland. Thunderstorms in northern England in the evening.
