My max was 34.2C here in Wokingham. That is the 3rd highest August temp
since before 1904, below 35.6 in 1911 and 35.4 in 1990. As for the record
for any month, today's ranks 4th highest, with in addition to the two above
for August, 34.6C in June 1976 ranks 3rd.
