For those that don't look in on sci.geo.meteorology, the following I
know will interest many he- quote http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shiplocations.phtml provides the most recent position of all ships reporting weather conditions to the VOS. http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/researchships.phtml provides the same information, but limits the display to oceanographic research vessels. From either of these pages, it's possible to zero in on one part of the world, or to see the track and weather history for a particular ship. If you know the callsign of a ship, you can jump directly to that ship's entry: http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shi...html?call=WTEC Hal Mueller Get MapTap for PalmOS! Thanks for this interesting link Martin.
As an ex ships Radio Officer - sailing on 3 OBS reporting ships - and 28 years years in BT Radio stations at Portishead and Lands End .... I've passed on my share of OBS. Its very sad to see only a handful of UK callsigns now reporting, but then I guess, we've only a handful of ships left under the UK flag .... "Martin Rowley" wrote in message ... I thought I'd see if I could find the Aurora (P&O), which I know
someone on a cruise, but there are loads of them with that name. How can I find out which one is the P&O one?
