I feel the item below does explain so much but none of it to do with the
weather. I believe the name is well known in some circles.

Based on some of the hypohesis, we should be asking China to organise it's population into a mass jump on the spot, to correct the weather!

When I saw the author's name, I nearly fell out my chair, I worked with Bruce
Callander when I was in the Met Office - not the same Bruce, thank goodness.
