Default NOAA ice page; changed URL?

The following URL seems to be "out":

http://polar.wwb.noaa.gov/seaice/Analyses.html
It contained the Ice cover on the Arctic and Antarctic.

Has it changed (and did I miss something)?

The URLs for all NOAA sites //xxx.wwb.noaa.gov/ have changed to
//xxx.ncep.noaa.gov

You will need to change your bookmarks accordingly.

This was posted to sci.geo.oceanography, sci.geo.meteorology, and
sci.environment a few days ago by Robert Grumbine:
------
Now at http://polar.ncep.noaa.gov/

The site includes model guidance and satellite analyses

Model guidance:
Ocean Waves
Sea Ice Drift
Coastal Ocean Visibility
Open Ocean Visibility
Vessel Icing
NW Atlantic ocean currents, temperature, salinity
Gulf Stream Location

Satellite Analyses:
Sea Ice Coverage
Marine Winds
Sea Surface Temperature

This change is part of the general retirement of the wwb.noaa.gov
domain. All such addresses were replaced with ncep.noaa.gov.
If you have any bookmarks, scripts, email addresses, ... that
referred to wwb.noaa.gov, replace wwb with ncep and you should
be ok.
------

HTH.

Cheers,
Russell

Yes, it has also been answered in this newsgroup in the thread
"Unavailability of NOAA site" and before that in the thread "Missing ice
pages" where I pointed out that I had updated my web pages to cope with that
change. See
http://www.abmcdonald.freeserve.co.uk/north.htm

Not missing a good chance to advertise my web pages grin

Cheers, Alastair.
