Everyone:
Interesting skies at Wallsend: the sky is full of altocumulus floccus and cirrocumulus undulatus (?). Been busy with the camera: http://llandru.servehttp.com/050904/09050001.jpg, looking west: contrail, single cumulus fractus, Ac flo and cirrocumulus above (?). Taken through double glazing. http://llandru.servehttp.com/050904/09050002.jpg, altocumulus floccus and billowy cirrocumulus in detail. http://llandru.servehttp.com/050904/09050003.jpg, zoomed out shot looking south. The cranes are the Swan Hunter shipyard. Taken through double glazing and complete with lens flare. http://llandru.servehttp.com/050904/09050004.jpg looking to my south east. The cranes are the Swan Hunter shipyard and AP Tyne. http://llandru.servehttp.com/050904/09050005.jpg close up view looking up! All three webcams have been picking this up since early on too, link at bottom. These clouds get stranger and stranger, they've gone to virga and
disappearing slowly. Classic "flocks of sheep". Image tweeked slightly in Paint Shop Pro to up the contrast. The eastcam is picking these up in detail too: this camera has a uv filter and is cutting through the haze better than my digital. http://llandru.servehttp.com/050904/09050010.jpg http://cc0020209.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/stormcam.htm I don't get this that often here so apologies for going on a bit (no action) (: Les -- Les Crossan, Wallsend, Tyne & Wear 55N 01-30W, Home of the Wallsend Stormcam - http://www.uksevereweather.org.uk "Les Crossan" wrote in message .uk...
