My wife has just come of the phone to her Dad ( who lives about 4 miles away
from Stuart, Florida ) He is safe and well (thank God). Slight roof-damage Garden is a mess! Power and phone lines are still down at 14:30 (our time) the winds are still very calm. Only just beginning to pick up again. Mobile-phone networks are jammed but functioning if you keep trying. Not sure exactly to what extent the roof is damaged. It was a very poor mobile phone signal which kept breaking up. At least we know he is safe. Fingers crossed for the next few hours. Brendan |
