Default Penzance - Even Hotter

After reaching 26.7 degrees yesterday (making it my hottest September day on
record and the hottest day of the year), it has now reached 27.0! Still
only a light wind in the bay. ENE so offshore, with a bit of a foehn effect
as it comes down off the moors south of Camborne.
It weas 22 degrees at 09:30 (Newquay was 23 degrees at 10:00)

Last night's minimum was 18.1, my warmest September night on record.

27 degrees is unusual here even in mid-summer.

It's been a cool and breezy day here in Canterbury. Topped out at 19.6°C
so far, compared with 26.6°C yesterday. No sun yet today - NE breeze
must be dragging a lot of humid air off the North Sea.

I see much of the UK has been warmer than most of Greece today. Not more
than 25.4C here today (below 20C throughout the day around much of
continental Greece), while temperatures should drop a bit more within the
week.

Shame it couldn't have been arranged two weeks ago for the women's marathon!
