writes ...sounds like cleggs...we had them in Devon but unheard of here in East Yorkshire No, not Cleggs. I was bitten on the leg by one in Teesdale many years ago and will never forget it. These flies look like small, brownish house flies and are attracted to warm blooded creatures.
