According to the 13:30 weather forecast, there's a 5 metre swell aprroaching
Cornwall. Good new for surfers apparently. Has he ever seen a 5 metre swell, 5 Foot is good news, but 5 metres!! 3 metres and all the surfing beaches on the north Cornwall coast would be closed. I went out to Sennen (near Land's End) to see what it was like. It was large, but not huge. Mainly 6-8 feet, odd wave nearer 10 foot. With the sunshine great for photographs. The entire beach was closed with lifeguards kept busy making sure no one was in the water. The swell was still increasing, I should have gone a few hours later.
