1500hr

Temperature in Coventry 33.6C.

Hottest day of the year so far.

Hottest day since 3rd August 1990.

Only 3 days have been hotter since records began in 1892 - namely

35.1C July 1990
34.4C August 1911
34.2C September 1906


....................and the day isn't over yet!

It reached 34.2C by 1600hr so only 2 days have ever been hotter - since

Strange that, isn't it?

I should have mentioned of course that September 1906 also recorded a
34.2C maximum too!
