Here in the far south-west the temperature normally stops rising as it hits
25-26 degrees as the sea breeze sets in. As we are virtually surrounded by the sea, temperatures = 28 degrees are very rare. From 1992 to 2002 inclusive I only recorded 4 days =28 degrees. I have now had 3 consecutive days 28 (28.1, 28.3 & 28.2 respectively). This is largely due the almost complete lack of any sea breeze despite the heat. The airr must have been exceptionally stable.
