Default BBC1 forecast - 1735 today

OK so who here thinks the 37C predicted by the forecaster (Helen Willets I
believe) for the London area tomorrow is achievable and who thinks it's just
the BBC and the Met Office hyping things up yet again....

Regards,
Far

Not possible IMHO... the Front and associated cloud will see to that.

It will depend on the time of the front's arrival. Not the easiest
thing to forecast, timing. If the front is slow, it could happen. A
warm start is forecast in the SE so by lunchtime, we should have a
good idea if the record is likely.

Default Hottest day?

Hi all,
WIth temps already (11am BST) above 32C, I think the record could well
be broken this afternoon. Indeed, if temps continue to rise at the
same rates they have been for the last few days, then we could see 39C
somewhere this afternoon!

cheers,

Paul.
