Frontal cloud covers much of Britain but SW England is sunny and most of
Wales is bright. Ireland is clearer behind the front but heavy showers are
approaching from the NW. Netherlands and western and central Belgium are
quite sunny but SE Belgium is cloudy.

Rain reaches western Ireland and NW Scotland after midnight on Monday night
with showers ahead of it near the west coast of Britain. Heavy rain in SW
Scotland towards dawn. Outbreaks of rain move across the southern half of
England on Tuesday morning. Heavier band of rain over western Scotland
moves slowly east and affects west Wales and NW England by mid-afternoon and
lies from eastern Scotland through NW England and Wales to SW England by
evening. Sleet reported on high ground in Scotland and thunder in SW
Scotland in the afternoon.
