Now arrived at Land's End. 1840BST SSW 10kts 1850BST NW gusting 48kts now subsided to 25-30kts Brief period of very heavy rain here recently, breeze picking up too. Suspect that could be just about it though in terms of significant rain, at least from the current imagery. Lights going 'up and down' a bit but that's pretty much normal for down here. Jon. I see Sevenstones Lightship (50.1N, 6.1W) reported pressure down to 983.7mb at 5pm, pressure rising rapidly now, sustained winds of 22.1m/s (49mph) at 6pm. So gusts there maybe to 60-65mph? http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=62107 Cheers Richard |
