Heavy shower/thunderstorm moved just the north of Wirral 1845 GMT with the
large cumulonimbus being lit up by lightning, which looked quite spectacular in the darkening sky as I travelled north along the M53 going home from work. Alan -- Wirral,Merseyside. 53.1 N 3.0 W 40m amsl http://www.wirralcam.com/frame.htm |

Alan It seems almost everywhere has seen some action today, except just a little further north in Lancashire! There was a rainstorm mid-afternoon (around 4pm) - and I've seen a few flashes that may or may not have been lightning, but heard no thunder. I'm told Bolton took a lashing, however. -- Matthew Cegielka http://www.floof.co.uk Remove multiple navigational aids to reply |
