A short burst of heavy rain in Chalfont St Giles around 0615 produced
1.8 mm in a few minutes. The Davis VP shows a max rate of 7.1 mm/hr. It's only single pixel stuff on the radar. Norman. (delete "thisbit" twice to e-mail) -- Norman Lynagh Weather Consultancy Chalfont St Giles England |

In Dorset we had a sharp burst or two at 1600hrs (but after I had left work and the Davis VP) As it has only just started 'working' I have yet to discover rate per hr. Any guidance welcome! |

Trouble is, it is the room where I work BUT I just do not have the time at the moment to explore its seemingly large potential... But I have sort of budgeted to have the same wireless VP here at home. I hope to purchase after Nov 25th and spend some time in the Christmas holidays getting to know my way around. It will be fun comparing two stations just 18 miles apart (by road - not sure of the distance by crow). Incidentally, given the number of WRs on this group, is there a suggested list of the readings I might 'post'? Some of them seem very lengthy and there must be a method being used.... |
