Very interesting watching the presenters on GMTV harping on about the severe
conditions in 2Cm of snow. Hardly severe is it?

I dont suppose any of them were around in 1963. Perhaps we need another
winter like that one so that they can get things into perspective.

God knows what our foreign neighbours think of us with that bunch of nancies
prancing about in what looked like nothing more than a frost.

There hasn't been any severe weather here (Peterborough), we had a
couple of VERY brief snow flurries - apart from the its been glorious
winter sunshine. And it's not even that cold either.

Yesterdays local Anglia news had a report advising people not to make
unecessary journeys - but to take a survival kit if you do, just incase
you get stuck in a snow drift LOL.

I think it just shows this country's desperation for something interesting
to happen!

We don't have dangerous animals
We don't have hurricanes
We don't generally have large tornadoes (although obviously it's always a
possibility)
We get about 2 weeks of summer per year with the rest being rather drab
Our winters aren't particularly severe and many people here probably haven't
seen snow before!

Most of the news in the UK seems to be based around making a mountain out of
a molehill.
