Widespread showers - largely of snow - in central and eastern Britain on
Monday night. Showers spread westwards later in the night but very few in
SW England. Snow showers merge west of London at first on Tuesday morning
but most before midday are in northern and eastern England and eastern
Scotland. Showers - still largely of snow except near some coasts -

http://www.thisisbournemouth.co.uk/d...er/minmax.html now seems to
use the 06z and 18z figures for its lists of extreme temperatures. Many of
the min. temps quoted there will obviously be higher than the
"climatological" values reported at 09z.

Have there been (many) other cases so far this winter of min. temps
below -10°C ?
