So what is todays excuse?
Here in South Essex nothing more than light occasionally sleety rain. Its quite obvious that one again its a load of media hype, as it always is. I think we can start having the post mortem as soon as they start to forecast snow in future. Regards. Len. |

The BBC link just posted by Henley proves it! http://tinypic.com/1tnar7 They also had 10 cm in Colchester - the Met Office link posted by Jon earlier proves it! http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/corporat...r20050224.html You really must learn how to *observe* accurately... leave it to the professionals! ![]() -- Dave |

Also, i've not heard the city heat island effect discussed yet
I realise it doesn't explain everything Rain was reported in Leeds earlier Snow reported in Sheffield City Centre (Higher Elevation) but wet stuff even there. Nearby countryside at similiar elevation = white landscape London, goes without saying Always allow for temperatures to be 2 or 3C higher in the cities Makes all the difference on a day like today |

earlier proves it! http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/corporat...r20050224.html I was in Colchester this morning and there WAS NO SNOW! As I said earlier, someone has fed the Met Office duff information. Tom Chelmsford, Essex (16m) |
