Rain, sleet and snow concentrated in northern England on Wednesday night
with patchier outbreaks over the Midlands and SE England. Precipitation
most widespread in northern and eastern England on Thursday morning. Quite
extensive but lighter outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow in north Wales and
the Midlands, and later in southern England. Precipitation tends to die
out from the east towards evening but snow showers reach East Anglia and the
SE.
