Showers in Scotland on Wednesday night. Outbreaks of rain from central
Ireland to north Wales and in East Anglia. Area of rain develops over
Ireland on Thursday morning and extends east to cover most of Ireland and
Wales and England except the south by midday. Rain - turning to sleet and
snow on its northern edge - covers most of England and Wales by late
afternoon. Precipitation mostly confined to eastern England and parts of
the Midlands and north Wales by mid-evening.
