uk.sci.weather (UK Weather) (uk.sci.weather) For the discussion of daily weather events, chiefly affecting the UK and adjacent parts of Europe, both past and predicted. The discussion is open to all, but contributions on a practical scientific level are encouraged. |

Looked at the Met Office charts at work this morning and they appear to
suggest the possibility of some persistent snow at the back end of the low, as north-easterlies accompanied by a cold and occluded front move only slowly southeastwards. Any comments? Nick |

Looking at the UKMO Fax progs this morning, it seems this Low will hang
around for 24hours across the South/Channel Tu/We. Could be interesting if enough cold air is brought in behind it..another mid-week near freezing rain scenario.followed by 24hrs of NE'lys which could be extended.Phil |
