Default metcheck taking another holiday again

This year Metcheck are being 'forced' to take three trips abroad but it's
purely for the sake of research and development into our snow forecasts.

Andrew bond just happens to go research at a place where snowboarding is
done , what a supprise
how many holidays does this guy go on using customer money? twice every two
weeks?

Still i am wondering what happened to that monday cold snap?
What happened to the cold spell between November 22 and 27 ?

At least Matt Ego is there. Yes he is their Canadian forcaster, always
reporting from his North West Passage. All I can say is, either the
Canadians are very tolerant peeps (that's matt speak) or just plain
desperate?

What was that film with Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood set in snowy
Austria ah yes The Ego Has Landed.

Good point, Neil. Let us not forget
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3738824.stm

The current medium range progs look pretty run of the mill, certainly
nothing "very cold" during the period in question and of course we're
already into day 2 of this very cold spell. I might have to consider putting
the heating on again if it gets any worse.

While we're doing a bit of verification there's also this to keep an eye on,
although I must admit I do have some difficulty following them at times

As a private company he can use the money as he wishes.

I presume then that he lies prone facing in a south easterly
direction.
Some other "forecasters" can apparently face in any direction and
produce the same result.

Happens all over; certainly in academia - you hear quite of lot of "I
fancy a holiday in Spain, are there any conferences there next year?".

(I have my eyes on conferences in Portland, Oregon and Spain next year!)
