Default Low March maximum

Max temp here 0.7°C mid morning, barely above last night's min of
0.6° not long before. Since early afternoon the temperature has
varied no more than 0.1°C either side of, yes, 0.1°C. This 0.7°C is
the second lowest March maximum I have recorded, the lowest being
-2.2°C on 1 Mar 1986. On this day in 1977 the maximum was 19°C
despite little sunshine.

Worcester must be a warm place! Since 1989 there have been 12
maxima here below 4.2°C in March. There were 3 in 1993, 2 in 1996, 2
in 1999 and 5 in 2001. There were a whole lot more in 1987 as well.
Today's max so far is 1.9°C, with sunny intervals and occasional very
light snow flurries.

Default Low March maximum

I'm still sifting through my paper records but it looks like 4.2 will be one
of the lowest maximums, though there are many that get near to that figure
but they just don't quite make it.

Unfortunately I have incomplete figures for March 2001 (when you had 5 below
this figure). About to look at 1993; I need to get this stuff typed into a
spreadsheet!
