Default WHY BLOCKING HIGH?

We have had a reasonably cold spell since mid-Feb.
Not 'severe' not 'bitter', just 'cold'.
Yes, it's taking time to shift but don't forget that this is the time
of year when zonality is relitively low anyway.

Tell that to 2002.:-( :-o :-(

Anybody can claim that Easterlies *can* still deliver. But don't
forget that in this instance it was only the county of Kent that
was seriously affected.

Central Europe has coldest winter since 1941, in general!
Rome has the coldest winter for some 200 YEARS(!), no wonder the Polish
Pontiff was taken ill:-(,
Belgium has had the coldest winter ON RECORD, or so it seems.:-o

To top all of that off, though, how many places in the UK had the
coldest winters since about January 1995? Sheffield, York, Denby Dale
(*possibly*!), Hudds. for a FEW years, etc.. A similar type thing for
Kent now would not surprise me.

Do you also know how BELOW average March is at present?

A week or so ago it was only upland
areas of the north east. And of course SST's are very low at this
time of year so given the right conditions heavy snow can still fall.

Plus, March is the month of the year when the Arctic gives off its
coldest signal, is it not?

Don't forget the diurnal equinox either, roughly three months until THE
LONGEST DAY OF THE YEAR as it may actually be.:-o

Who was it who said that, "As the days get longer, so too does the cold
get stronger"?:-o :-)

I am convinced that he will call a winter SPOT ON within the next

three
years after the so-called 2005 "fiasco". His methods DO work, but
whatever SLRs he used in the autumn of 2001 for *that* particular
"forecast" of his will sadly haunt my young mind forever.:-(

I'm sure that in the next 10 years I can call a winter spot on,

merely
by guesswork

I am NOT talking a mild winter, but an - and it CAN be just ONE -
EASTERLY outbreak, which will surely liken now that the solar minimum
in 2006(?) is well on its way.

I find it no coincidence that the easterly should come now *given* the
theories of Gaze, Chuter of Metcheck, et al..

:-)

Damien Bedd, BEng, BPol, BHum, the owner and founder of Tideline
Limited, was due to meet with Britain's SECRETARY OF STATE FOR
INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT tonight at 7:00 p.m., as I told you all
yesterday. Yet, instead I am at home, conversing with people I don't
even know, and who don't like me, on uk.sci.weather.:-( I am SOOO
angry tonight!:-(

Why did it all go wrong!?:-( :-(

silly little dreamer
can you stick your head up your a**e
oh yeah

The old songs are possibly the best, although the lyrics can be a bit
naughty.

Soon perhaps that oozelum bird will complete its trick.
