Default BlueWave Technologies solar sensor for Vantage Pro.

Anybody have first hand experience of this? I already have their data logger
that works well.

I have one on order that will be arriving tomorrow - I will let you know how
I get on.

BTW Bluewave have a UV sensor for the VP1 & VP2 for just £90 instead of the
Davis £330 that is coming out in December - just a bit of gossip.

Thanks for that Stuart. Do you have a website linked to your Vantage Pro?

Thanks for the tip.
I recently got a VP, and am looking to add a solar, and maybe a UV
sensor.
But the proper Davis ones are a complete rip-off, so £90 a shot looks
interesting.

Well the BlueWave Solar sensor arrived today along with a free Davis VP1
mounting kit and it just works !! I am getting solar readings just fine.

Summary
1) the bluewave mount wont take a Davis UV sensor - I assume that this is
pre drilled for their own UV sensor that will be here in December.
2) Delivery was pants! I paid £9.00 for next day and it took over a week - I
am currently seeking a refund! but this was due to a cock up with Amtrak -
just beware.
3) Tech supports seems to be quite knowledgeable in all things solar.
4) overall well constructed and you need to have it sighted on the absolute
flat like the Davis - in fact they quote +- 15 degrees

Overall I am recording a very dull day with just 26 w/m2 right now - but I
did get some 0.3mm of evoptranspration [spelling?]

So far I give it the thumbs up

Thanks for that Stuart. Amtrak really are the pits in this area. The problem
is that it is a franchise branch who just shrug their shoulders when they
cannot deliver on schedule. Even Parcelfarce do better!
