Vacancy
Picture Editor The Journal of Meteorology A suitable successor is sought for the prestigious position of Picture Editor on The Journal of Meteorology. This is a voluntary but very rewarding role which will connect the successful applicant with the International weather photography market. A position now exists to take on this role in securing and coordinating occasional photographic material for the Journal that you may come across. It is a relaxed but responsible role which requires the applicant to be interested or accomplished in weather photography. The applicant should have a keen eye for great weather pictures as these may eventually grace the pages of The Journal of Meteorology. As we expand into our 30th year we are looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active person who can spare the occasional hour to liaise and encourage photographers. If you feel you can recognise or take a great weather picture we would be very interested in hearing from you. As part of this role the applicant receives a complimentary subscription to The Journal of Meteorology and membership of TORRO (The Tornado and Storm Research Organisation). The Picture Editor is also listed on The Journal's website as the primary contact for photography consultation for this International periodical. Anyone interested should email an expression of interest to the Editor, Robert K. Doe, by 20th March 2005.
