![]() "Hans en Mieke" wrote in message ll.nl... Hi all, I am new to weather instruments and at the moment trying to make a selection between different instruments. Among them are the WS3600, WS2500 of La Crosse, the WMR928 of Oregon Scientific and the Vantage Pro of Davis. My concern is the linking to the software. I have trouble obtaining detailed information of the suppliers. With those instruments is it possible to capture data, without have the computer turned on and transfer these data at a later moment to the computer? If yes, how large is the buffer capacity in terms of days and sampling events? Enough for e.g. a long holiday with data capture every 10 minutes? Maybe I need to add additional temperature sensors. The websites are not entirely clear about this. Is that possible with these instruments? Are ther other important things I need to consider? Hans www.weatherstations.co.uk has a lot of useful information for Davis equipment http://tinyurl.com/4qqmd is a link to the Weathermatrix forum for Vantage Pro If you look at the Davis website http://www.davisnet.com/support/weather/ you can download the Weatherlink instruction manual-and lots of others as well. Follow the current thread on 'weather station software' on this ng All the best -- George in Epping, West Essex (107m asl) www.eppingweather.co.uk www.winter1947.co.uk |
