A friend of mine said he was able to throw snow balls and sunbathe this
morning in Surrey. There is still snow lying at the highest point on the North Downs at Botley Hill (267 metres) and yet is sunny and the temperature is around 15C. It reminds me of the descriptions of March 1948 after the snowstorm of the 20th Feb to 22nd Feb with massive drifts and the heatwave in early March with 21C+ values.
