Default Ups and downs

Fascinating trip back from Skipton this evening, watching the car
thermometer rise and fall up hill and down dale.
Best example was the top of Garrowby Hill on top the Wolds, nearly 900 feet,
at 5.0c, dropping down to Fimber, something of a frost hollow at -1c.
-0.4 on arrival home at 6.15, currently -1.5.
