Hi
The weather has been fairly mild here in Dublin. Today yet another wasp paid us a visit. This is not to say we have a plague of them but in the past week I've seen a few. I suppose it's not really unusual given the lack of appreciative cold, wind and/or rain lately. Anyone else pick up on this? I've still got a number of leaves on the apple tree out back - green ones at that. It is "pleasant" weather however I guess there'll be a bit of a shock coming next week for one and all. J. |

Hi Joe - haven't seen wasps (yet) but have just been visted by a hedgehog, recently taken up residence in my garden. This was taken only half an hour ago. http://www.mtullett.plus.com/hedgehog.jpg Currently +6C and rising quickly:-) -- Mike 55.13°N 6.69°W Coleraine posted to uk.sci.weather 11/12/2004 10:49:46 UTC |

Still the occasional but distinctly stunned wasp here in South Dorset, they had been noticeable around certain non-fruit trees and on the grass underneath ( why ?) until the end of November. A decent day here at last - calm, misty and blue skies after days of cool clag. Regards, Tom |

Hi Lawrence - LOL now that one I did get, unlike the Balkan one - I think my problem with that one was I was looking at the body of that post and not the title. Keep 'em coming though:-) -- Mike 55.13°N 6.69°W Coleraine posted to uk.sci.weather 11/12/2004 12:01:05 UTC |

Anyone else pick up on this? Yes. One at the gliding club (Moray) last weekend, and one in my mother's sitting room (Forfar) on Monday evening. Both wasps now RIP. Anne |

Well I had to scrape the ice off the car this morning in Dorset, but then I am closer to the continent than you :-( Cheers, Alastair. |
