Good general agreement now about the timing and track of a couple of lows
passing to the North of Scotland in the coming few days. Both forecast to pass quickly with tight southern gradients. The second one in particular could be well worth watching with potentially severe winds(?) for populated areas, if it takes a slightly more southerly track than the current UKMO forecast, as it zips across from Newfoundland. There may be a lack of cold and snow for the time being, but I find these LP situations equally as interesting. Late Decembers 97,98 and 99 revisited?
