The picture at http://www.arctic.noaa.gov/aro/ipy-1...s/G2V1-126.jpg
is one of a collection from the "The First International Polar Year (1881-1884)" at http://www.arctic.noaa.gov/aro/ipy-1/. There are other interesting pictures, including floebergs of massive size and peculiar shape, an ice arch, and "Arctic Belles!" Graham |
