Default [WR] Thunder/ Rain Brampton, Cumbria

A little late with my report but we did experience a decent Thunderstorm
this morning, managed a Code 97 to those that record the daily weather like
me, first time since I started I have managed a T-storm at 0900hrs NCM. -
Thunder and lightning directly overhead as I took the readings, then
followed very intense and heavy rainfall

Electronic Weather Station showing 79mm.pr hr at 1122hrs ( A record for me)
with 14mm in total for the storm, proper gauge normally collects a little
more

Now have a glorious sunny eve, but some clouds around aswell to the west

Paul,

I have yet to record a code '95' in Romsey since 28th October 2004,
let alone a '97', although I did manage a brief '17' last Wednesday.
Quite a few '13s' logged as distant night-time storms pass by out of
earshot, most recently those of Saturday night.

Regards,

Nigel (Romsey, Hampshire ... where no rain has fallen this Bank Holiday
weekend so far).
