Well when the lovely Isobel announced on Coutryfile weather last Sunday,
that there will be no White Christmas well.......it looks like Brian and
Andrew will prove her wrong. Is that statement by Isobel in the same league
as Michael Fish and "there will be no Hurricane" gaff.

I cant recall exactly what she said, but I am sure she added some sort of
"get-out" clause.
something along the lines of "Its still a long way off yet and things could
change"

or perhaps she said something like "Its hard to tell, but at this early
stage, indications are that......"

I'd be very surprised if the wording of her statement definately ruled out a
White Christmas.

The Countryfile forecast this sunday could be interesting.

Hey, I have got hail storms here already (note deft side-step back on
topic) ... how cool do you want it ? (slipping slightly off-line in the
slush).

(For the benefit of pedants like myself, I use the word 'storms' here in
its vernacular sense ... wind is around F4 rather than F10)
