Well, it might be the equal latest date on record here (along with 1994),
but at last snow has finally fallen at this location. A decent shower of sleet and snow at around 3am for half an hour. It melted on contact with the ground, so no cover at this lowly altitude (360ft). Since then skies have cleared and the ground is begining to freeze, so it's sure to be treacherous on untreated surfaces by dawn - if no more wintry showers come along. Working on Friday nights can be a pain sometimes, but it was nice to be awake to witness the white stuff's return to this area.
