Have you ever considered using the FOI Act to get information ?
E.g. how many cases of MRSA are there in your hospitals ?
How much the "Heatwave" initiative has cost so far ?

To top all that the new Minister for Pensions David Blunkett who I have to
say as a blind person has a downright cheek telling those that have worked
up until the age of 65 , that they are going to have to stay on until
seventy to ease the pensions crisis.
Now I don't know about you, but many of us will have to rely on the state
pension as a major supplement to any diminshing private arrangements. So in
essence this is a major retrograde step in the so called brave new world
that was promised so many years, a world in which we'd have so much leisure
time we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves. I am absolutey certain that
this extention if a reality will accelerate many a senior citizen to an
earlier grave.

The point I'm trying to make is that there is far bigger fish to fry in the
importance and quality of life for the majority of this country and what do
we get? a scare story perpertrated by a man who was knighted by this
government in 2002 and is now laying the ground for tax hikes on the basis
of global warming. It's disgusting.

I'll finish by commenting on Sir Liam's credentials on public health, this
man has presided in various positions with the NHS for years. see below.

"Chief Medical Officer of the Department of Health from 1999, . A public
health physician by training, Sir Liam Donaldson (2002 New Years Honours
List) was previously Regional Director, NHS Northern Region, and before that
the Regional Medical Director of that region."

Well all I can say is MRSA. Let's hope he can do the same for climate
change.
