"I do not believe it!! In the name of sanity!!!!!!!!!!! , I want to speak to
the Manager and be quick about it!! "

Lol, anyway, take a look at the radar on the bbc website. Where the day and
time is labelled near to the SE corner, in the channel hiding the very
relevant rain\echo information.
In the Summer when\if we get some Thunder storms moving up from France (huh!
chance would be a fine thing!) this design will hide the radar echoes.
They could put this text up in the top right over Denmark, *obviously* .
They won't change it because eye candy is obviously important than
content\info.
Unbelievable... just unbelievable ;( .
Thank goodness for Avbrief ... and SKY Television when you think about it
;=) .

If they just used digits, instead of those huge boxes it would help. I
don't know if it's my monitor (Phillips 170C on auto settings) but it's hard
to differentiate between the clouds and the rain in the combined sequence...

I agree. After watching the Sky forecast at 1:27pm, I knew immediately
what weather to expect and when - and the wind direction, too. Not so
with the BBC forecast.

Luckily, I recorded the BBC News 24 forecast at 1:27pm, as I had to
replay it 4 times to grasp what they were trying to tell me.
Everything whirled away in the background while the poor presenter
completely failed to reinforce what the graphics (with non-matching 3D
rainfall!!!) were showing. I couldn't even tell immediately what the
shaded and light areas meant and the least said about the abysmal
colour scheme the better.

The animation moved far too quickly and they may as well have blanked
the screen and said "rain from time to time over most of the British
Isles". There you are BBC, do that and you've only lost only 10
seconds from your precious TV promotional clips.

Sky forecasts (that I haven't watched for years) have a few things
wrong but most of it is OK. I will probably now switch my News
Channel allegiance back to Sky as the BBC News 24 producers are
clearly incompetent. They should throw the new weather graphics system
out and start again.

I can only assume someone in London village decided it was only a
'little' bit of land so it doesn't really matter. You can bet if
London was between Eastbourne and Brighton the clock thing would be
somewhere else.
