Just watched the local forecast from BBC South (South Today). The local forecaster started with a synoptic chart!. She followed up by mentioning the pressure in the Atlantic, and then gave offshore and onshore wind forecasts for the next four days. There was even a display of the local pressure. In fact she produced a pre-change forecast using the new graphics! There is hope! Look North evening forecast started with a pressure map...Paul Hudson said he'd probably get in trouble for showing it !! -- York, North Yorkshire. (c.20 metre AMSL) |
