Glen Ogle 5.7°C

London MO 31.9°C.

This *has* to be one of the biggest ever temperature contrasts across
Britain - does anyone have any figures for this?

Glen Ogle is at 564m asl and is perhaps a bit high up to be truly
representative.

Even so, the next highest maximum cited - 8.3°C at Lough Fea in Northern
Ireland - is 23.6 deg C lower than the London MO figure.

The London MO thermometer doesn't have a standard exposure, I believe,
so that figure should perhaps be discarded as well.
